I realize people are genuinely curious by nature, and knowing a person's "business" is rather routine, par for the course behavior. I'm not comfortable tooting my own horn, so I'll tell you how I view life, instead of trying to impress you. I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in its suburban Anne Arundel County. I enlisted in the US Air Force at age 19, and was stationed in wonderful and exciting locations including South Dakota; Okinawa, Japan; Hawaii; California; and Florida. I retired from the US Air Force in 1999.
I started writing fiction at age 8, with Mrs. Marcin, her being the first of several inspiring educators I was blessed with during my academic endeavors. I graduated from the University of Hawaii-West Oahu, with a double major in English and History. I stand for the rights of every person born under the sun, regardless of where they come from. Love is a person's greatest act, followed by faith, and forgiveness. Charity is an outward action of these three cornerstones.
I am a mere caterpillar, on this Earth, in this body, and will not become a butterfly until the very moment God is ready to make me one. Patience is the virtue I strive to achieve daily. I don't believe art is meant to be competitive, but I believe we can have our favorites. I thoroughly enjoy William Blake, William Shakespeare, and Ivan Turgenev. I play guitar and piano, and I love music that makes my heart stutter. Baroque, Blues, Southern Rock, and improvisational string jangling geniuses are the oil that greases my gears. Cooking for me is a spiritual practice. My favorite activity is laughing.
